The game
The game was created by Bitfrost Interactive and built in Macromedia Director, programmed in Director's own language, Lingo. Players choose a grade from 1st to 6th. Adobe discontinued Director and the Shockwave player, and the technology no longer exists in modern operating systems and browsers.
Matematik i Måneby © Bitfrost Interactive (2005). The site is a private, non-commercial preservation project, built and maintained by Rasmus K. Damgaard. Permission comes from one of Bitfrost Interactive's founders and can be withdrawn.

The engine
The game runs as released, on dirplayer-rs, an open source Shockwave emulator written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly. Running it surfaced bugs in the emulator, and the fixes have been sent back upstream.
igorlira/dirplayer-rs#243
Merged. Fixes to GIF Xtra, chunk writes, cursors, sampling and fades, among others.
igorlira/dirplayer-rs#245
Open. Thirteen fixes to loading, sound, film loops, chunks, FileIO and GIF.
igorlira/dirplayer-rs#249
Open. More fixes on top of #245 to score, sound, inks, text, input and shaders.
In the browser
The game saves progress in the browser. It was made for mouse and keyboard and plays best on a computer, but on phones and tablets a tap on the name field opens the on-screen keyboard. The few changes from the original are listed on maaneby.dk.
